Les membres des Bureaux Électoraux Communaux (BEC) ont dénoncé leur éviction par le Conseil Électoral Provisoire (CEP), dans une note publiée le dimanche 9 février 2025, accusant ce dernier de favoritisme politique. Ils rappellent que leur nomination en 2021 faisait suite à un concours rigoureux et qu’une attestation officielle confirme leur statut. Cependant, leur matériel a été retiré sans explication, entravant ainsi l’exercice de leur mission.
Malgré leur légitimité, les membres des BEC se plaignent de diverses entraves à leur travail, notamment la récupération de leur matériel de service. Ils soulignent qu’ils exercent leurs fonctions en toute régularité, avec une attestation signée par l’ex-Directeur Exécutif Max DÉLICE, confirmant que leur rôle reste valide.
Une autre source de mécontentement réside dans la rémunération. Tandis que les Présidents des Bureaux Electoraux Départementaux (BED) et le personnel subalterne ont perçu plus de 36 mois de salaire, les membres des BEC n’ont reçu que 13 mois, une disparité qu’ils jugent injuste.
Ils interpellent les conseillers du CEP sur l’inacceptabilité morale et administrative de leur éviction, rappelant qu’aucune indemnité ne leur a été versée. Ils exigent le respect de leurs droits et une gestion plus équitable des ressources financières.
Malgré ces tensions, les membres des BEC restent déterminés à organiser un référendum et des élections transparentes. Ils appellent les autorités à corriger cette situation pour éviter une crise qui pourrait compromettre le processus démocratique en Haïti.
