À la fin de son mandat, Jean Ronald JOSEPH, Directeur Général du Fonds National de l’Éducation (FNE), dresse le bilan de son passage à la tête de l’institution. Près de 130 millions de gourdes ont été injectées dans le renforcement de l’Université d’État d’Haïti (UEH) et des Universités Publiques en Région (UPR), ce qui marque un tournant important dans l’accès à une éducation supérieure de qualité à travers le pays mais aussi un soutien financier pour l’éducation en Haïti.
Entre 2020 et 2024, plus de 500 étudiants ont bénéficié de bourses financées par le FNE, pour un montant total de 342,4 millions de gourdes. Ce soutien financier, réalisé en partenariat avec la Conférence des Recteurs, Présidents d’Universités et Dirigeants d’Institutions d’Enseignement supérieur Haïtiennes (CORPUHA), témoigne de l’engagement de ladite institution à promouvoir l’excellence académique et à accompagner les jeunes vers leur avenir professionnel.
Dans le secteur de l’éducation fondamentale, le Fonds National de l’Éducation a investi 96 millions de gourdes pour former 1 500 enseignants dans cinq départements géographiques du pays dont l’Ouest. Ces formations modulaires et certifiantes, dispensées via les UPR, visent à améliorer les pratiques pédagogiques et à renforcer les bases du système éducatif national.
Entre 2022 et 2024, le FNE a également subventionné les études à l’étranger de 288 étudiants, dont 117 femmes et 171 hommes, pour un montant total avoisinant les 150 millions de gourdes. Cette initiative ambitieuse ouvre les portes d’institutions internationales à des jeunes talents haïtiens, renforçant ainsi leur capacité à contribuer au développement du pays.
Au terme de son mandat, Jean Ronald JOSEPH présente un bilan axé sur des investissements significatifs dans l’éducation, avec un soutien concret pour les étudiants et les enseignants, tout en soulignant l’importance de continuer les efforts pour améliorer le système éducatif du pays.
