L’accord unitaire de Louisiane a désigné, dimanche 16 janvier 2022, l’économiste consultant Fritz JEAN comme Président provisoire d’Haïti. Un résumé sur son parcours.
Le nouveau président provisoire désigné, Fritz Alphonse JEAN, est né au Cap-Haïtien le 22 Avril 1956. Il a fait des études universitaires aux Etats-Unis où il a eu des diplômes en mathématiques et en Économie. Après ses études, il revient en Haïti et a débuté sa carrière professionnelle.
De retour au pays, il a d’abord été professeur à l’Université d’Etat d’Haïti entre 1887 et 1991, et consultant économique. Par la suite, il a été nommé en 1996 vice gouverneur de la Banque de la République d’Haïti(BRH) pour devenir ensuite le gouverneur de la BRH en février 1998, sous l’administration du Président René Préval, une poste qu’il a occupée jusqu’en Août 2021.
Après son expérience dans l’administration publique, il revient dans le milieu universitaire. Entre 2005 et 2009, il a été le doyen de la Faculté des Sciences Économiques et Politiques de l’Université Notre Dame d’Haïti(UNDH). Il a aussi été président de la chambre de commerce et de l’industrie du Nord-Est. En Février 2016, Fritz JEAN a été nommé Premier Ministre sous l’ère de Jocelerme Privert. 20 Mars de cette même année, le parlement a rejeté sa politique générale, et il a été remplacé par Enex Jean Charles à la primature.
Fritz JEAN a eu aussi de nombreux succès dans le secteur privé. Dans le domaine entrepreneurial, il a participé au financement et à la structuration de plusieurs petites et moyennes entreprises. Il a, en outre, contribué aux travaux de plusieurs Commissions sur l’ingénierie financière pour la mise en place de fonds d’investissement, de travaux d’incubation de petites et moyennes entreprises, de définitions des missions des villes dans l’axe Cap-Haïtien-Ouanaminthe en regard du développement local.
